Diana Marie Ranels, age 67, of Mentor, and formerly of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.  


Born May 2, 1950, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Bessy Campbell. She married Benjamin Ranels on December 24, 1969, in North Carolina. Diana was a 1968 graduate of North High School and a 1998 graduate of Bryant and Stratton with an associates degree. 


She worked for many years in the Medical Records Department at Judson Manor and Metro Health.  
She truly loved time spent with her family and her grandchildren, playing games and working with puzzles. She also enjoyed a good game of Bingo and watching the Game Show Channel.


Diana is survived by her children, John (Donna) Ranels of Painesville, Karen (Stan) Zylak of Mentor, Candace Weirich of Slippery Rock, PA, Jim (Allison) Ranels of Geneva; grandchildren, Tyler, Caitlynd, Morgan, Dylan, Stanley, Gabriella, Julia, Clinton, and Shelby; 5 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Debbie Swanson. 

 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin; her long time companion, Dan Florio; parents; brothers, Carl, Richard, and Michael.


Friends and family will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. 

 
Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Final resting will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery.
