Curtis B Keener

CURTIS BRYAN (Curt) KEENER, age 71, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021. Beloved son of the late Curtis Edward and Rachel (nee Chafin) Keener; dear brother of John Robert Keener (Roberta) and Karen Havreberg (the late Robert); loving “Unca Dirt“ of Eiche, Erik, Laurelyn (Josh), Christopher (Kasandra), Rachel (Joe), Amanda (Aaron), Max (Kelsey), Rebecca and Michaela; GREAT uncle of Kierstin, Brandon, Marin, Allison Rose, Ben, Felicity, Amelia and Percival, and honorary uncle of Conner and Alex. Curt graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1968 and from Kent State University with a Recreational Management degree in 1977. He worked for many years as a courier at STAT Courier and despite numerous medical issues persevered there until March 2020. He drove more miles than any sane person should be able to claim. Curt sang bass for over 50 years as a choir member at Shoregate United Methodist Church in Willowick, where he was also a frequent liturgist. While he consumed and shared all kinds of music and remained fascinated with photography and resurrecting ancient recipes throughout his life, his greatest joy was keeping track of all details of his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and grand pets. Memorial gifts can be made to the Shoregate United Methodist Choir. Curt will be buried with his parents in Mount Vernon, OH. All services are private.
