R. MARK "MARC" STEFFENS
1949 - 2015

R. Mark (Marc) Steffens, age 65, passed away June 13, 2015.

He was born Oct. 11, 1949.

Mark was a High School teacher starting at Lake County Juvenile Center in Painesville and later teaching welding at the Willoughby Eastlake Industrial Center. He then was employed by The Lake Academy in Willoughby. Mark retired from Lake Academy in 2009. His teaching continued as a tutor at Grace Christian Academy in Kirtland. Throughout Marks' adult life, he was always involved with youth. He was a member of Grand River Community Chapel and Leroy Community Chapel.

Mark is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rebecca (Becky Ellis), of Kirtland; daughters, Rochelle (Scott) Kissinger of Kirtland, Renee' (Bob) Kirk of Concord, and Rachael (Ryan) Pfeister of Perry; six grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Amber, Samantha, Trent, and Teagan; and one brother, Richard (Gwyn) Steffens, from California.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Steffens; mother, Freda (Friday) Steffens; and nephew, Darrin Steffens.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jakubs-Danaher Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd. Eastlake, Ohio 44095. Private entombment will be held at a later date.  
Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 11 a.m. at Leroy Community Chapel, 1290 State Route 86, Leroy, where a luncheon will follow immediately following the memorial service (there is a handicap ramp available).
