

Maryanne Hansbrough (nee Cala), age 74, of Willoughby Hills, formerly of Willowick, peacefully passed away on February 24, 2025. Born on April 28, 1950, to the late Sam and Anne Cala, Maryanne touched the lives of many through her compassion, selflessness, and unwavering love for her family.
Maryanne is survived by her beloved sons, Keith (Shannon) Hansbrough and Mark Hansbrough, along with her siblings: Sam (Margie) Cala, Nancy (John) Kosek, Gina (Tony) Biats, and sister-in-law Laura Cala. She will also be deeply missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were lucky to know her warmth and kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Cala.
Maryanne will be remembered for her strength as a single mother, her selflessness, and her ability to put her family first. She lived a life rich in love and generosity, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Having retired from AT&T, Maryanne remained dedicated to serving others throughout her life. Her volunteer work at local hospitals and hospices exemplified her commitment to helping those in need. An avid quilter, she took immense pride in her craft and cherished the joy it brought to others. As a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene, she was actively involved in the prayer shawl ministry, where she found community and purpose.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary Magdalene Church, located at 32114 Vine St, Willowick, OH 44095, on February 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church at 10:00 AM. Following the service, entombment will be held at All Souls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in her honor can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110.
