You have mates in school; many pass by as acquantences and you forget about them with the roll of the years. Until you hear they have accomplished something unexpectedly - the reward for a gift you never anticipated they possessed. Or you hear about their passing and regret that you never really took the time to say "good bye" all proper like during those last few weeks of 12th grade. For me, Bill, fell into that latter category. We were never close but sometimes we would share a laugh about something or a piece of school news. It really doesnt matter what; only that you recall that whatever the conversation it was pleasant. Yes, the bell really does toll for us all.
