Gordon was one of my very small circle of friends whom I've kept in touch with over the years even though moving to the West Coast.  Such a great kid and his parents were always gracious whenever I came over.  He loved his white VW bug and I loved his orange Karmann Ghia. I remember driving in a blizzard in his Bug on 271 on the way to a wresting match ( or maybe it was  a basketball game) with about 5 kids in it.  He was so nervous driving but the extra weight must have helped the traction. I never heard of diabetes until he was diagnosed in his teens but he carried on as if nothing was wrong.  We exchanged emails just a few months ago and we were planning on attending the reunion but I knew his health was deteriorating.  I'm so sad about his passing.  May he rest in peace.
