Worked for General Electric Lighting for 37 years in finance; part as secretary and part as customer financial services (receivables, collections, billing, etc.). Have been retired since 2010. Have lived in Mentor for almost 22 years and married for 32 years.

Barb and I have been meeting for lunch since I retired 9 years ago on her day off from Progressive.  I last saw her in June when she mentioned some medical issues.  When I called her at the end of July, she knew she had cancer, but seemed quite calm about it.  That was the last I talked to her.  Her husband said the treatment just did her in.  It will be rough knowing I will not see her at lunch every month and hearing about her kids and grandkids.  Just still surreal to me.
